They’re been teasing this website longer than you can say something long but now, finally, the slightly creepy ELYSIUM viral campaign website has launched! If you’re not sure what I mean by viral campaign, it’s like a mix of movie marketing that also starts to make the world from the movie real. Well, as real as viably possible.
In this case, there’s an automated plastic-looking robot man who asks you questions to see if you can enter their unique and perfect ELYSIUM world. If you fail though, or if you answer their questions in the wrong way, there’s a possibility you’ll never get off Earth (which is crumbling to pieces), and you will never experience the beauty and luxury of this so-called asylum called, quite aptly, Elysium.
If you still think I’m babbling nonsense, it’s for the new Neill Blomkamp (DISTRICT 9) film starring Matt Damon, Jodie Foster and Sharlto Copley. The film is set in the year 2154, where the very wealthy live on a man-made space station while the rest of the population resides on a ruined Earth, a man takes on a mission that could bring equality to the polarized worlds.
