With rumours growing that underrated actor Michael Pena is in line to take on one of two villain roles in the Edgar Wright-directed ANT-MAN, appearing alongside Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Clifton Collins Jr. in the Marvel adventure, he could see his career rise even further. Pena’s currently filming war drama FURY with his END OF WATCH director David Ayer but we’ll first get to see his portrayal of human rights activist Cesar Chevez in Diego Luna’s forthcoming biopic CESAR CHAVEZ: AN AMERICAN HERO.
We’ve a second trailer for the fact-based drama coming from the ELYSIUM actor-turned-director Luna and Pena looks a perfect, uncanny choice for the Mexican-American who passed away in 1993.
CESAR CHAVEZ: AN AMERICAN HERO is slated for US cinemas from the 4th April 2014. No word on a UK release as yet. It co-stars Gabriel Mann, Rosario Dawson, America Ferrera, Kevin Dunn and Peter Jason.
